A poll of state commissioners requested by the
Communications Committee of the National Association of Regulatory Utility
Commissioners (NARUC) for the NARUC leadership and the Communications
Committee. Results indicate levels of commissioner interest in various
issues. 1996 results (97% response) cover four topics: (1) revising and/or
eliminating regulatory accounting rules, (2) network evolution, (3)
competition and regulation, and (4) consumer protection mechanisms.
